Forgiveness
I think that they definatly deserve forgiveness, because they were trying to save as many as possible in the short time they had. It took time to load hundereds of people into the life boats and and then lower them down to the water. So if they would have waited until they were completely full to start lowering then more people could have died. And once they got to the water they had to get as far away from the ship as possible so they didn't get sucked down with it. Then by the time they got back the people in the water were already dead. So yes I don't see how they couldn't deserve forgiveness because they were trying to save as many people as they could. And there was really nothing they could do fo the people that died.

Who REALLY deserves forgivness?
I think that the soldier obeying his commanders orders by shooting an unarmed mother and child deserves forgiveness. He's a soldier in the military and its his job to obey his commanders orders. And if he didn't do it depending on what military he's in it could be risking his own life. Like if he didn't do it then they would shoot him. If you were a soldier in this situation you would start talking about your family back home and how much they would miss you if you were dead, and you would almost do anything to get back home alive. Even though i think it's very wrong I still feel the soldier should deserve forgiveness in most cases. Because war is groosome and no young soldier wants to be apart of it.
